New Trek Madone SLR Gen 7 2023

One day later to present Shimano your new 105 12-speed DI2 group and two days before starting the Tour de France, Trek delights us with this wonder of technology as its new Madone SLR Gen 7 2023.

Seven generations, or seven changes, have already gone through the American brand's aero model.

This time, the design has focused on looking for the fastest competition bike in the market, as is already custom in Trek, comfort has also been sought. It should be noted that in most models, even in other disciplines such as mountain bike, they have the vertical impact absorption system, called ISOSpeed, for greater comfort when pedaling.

IsoFlow

On this occasion the IsoSpeed system (which had its predecessor) has been replaced, giving rise to the new IsoFlow system, maintaining all its advantages.

As you can see, at first glance, it is strange to see floating the sillin tube that comes from the horizontal tube, to which they have made more thin to help with absorption. This way we save weight by removing the IsoSpeed with all its screws, and various maintenance...

And here it doesn't end all, this monster doesn't look the same on the side, as in front, or behind. If we turn the bike and see it from behind, we can appreciate another key point of development of this machine.

At the bottom of the IsoFlow, it houses a cavity that accelerates the flow of air by the picture in the low aerodynamic pressure zone after the cyclist, a kind of elegant exhaust pipe that allows the air to be distributed by the frame. And all this without sacrificing the structural rigidity of the painting.

Looking for aerodynamics

In addition to the new IsoFlow technology, to improve its aerodynamics, many of its tubes have been profiled, including the steering pipe that is now much more robust.

Another important detail in this aspect is the new Cockpit, handlebar/power, with a perfect integration, which in nothing looks like the previous ones. In this case the handlebar is 3 cm narrower in the part of the blankets, to close more the wind step with a totally aerodynamic position. The power is more stylized, guiding as usual all your cables inside and resulting in a cleaner integration.

In the end and as we are accustomed from Trek, this Madone Gen 7, will not leave anyone indifferent, for its innovative design, rigidity, comfort and aerodynamics, a sum of factors that define it as perfect, those if for those who like to roll at high speed.

To this day the sale of this bike is previewed to a year view, although we trust that they will move forward a little, in addition to this handicap, from our most sincere opinion, is a bicycle that any mortal cannot afford, since his first price starts from 7699€ with 105 Di2, although if we think of the technology he carries, the price is at the height of his qualities.
